Education is the foundation of success in life. It is the key to unlocking opportunities, helping us to develop skills and knowledge, and providing us with the tools we need to reach our potential. Education is also essential for the development of a strong economy, as it provides the skills and knowledge needed to fill roles in the workforce.

Donating to education charities is a great way to make a positive impact on the world. With the help of Father CK Foundation, you can make a difference in the lives of those who lack access to education. Here are the stories of our beneficiaries;

Brenda , a resilient 10-year-old from Suguta Marmar, Samburu County, found refuge at the Mary Immaculate Girl Child Rescue Centre. As the 5th born in a family of eight, Brenda faced the dire prospect of child marriage and female genital mutilation orchestrated by her father, despite her fervent desire for education. In March 2021, at the age of nine, Brenda’s mother, discerning the father’s intentions, facilitated her escape to the rescue center. Here, with the support of the Mary Immaculate sisters, Brenda’s educational journey commenced. Currently enrolled at Shalom Academy in Nyeri, Brenda is eager to learn and dreams of becoming a medical doctor.

Bravin, a 17-year-old resident of South B, Nairobi County, faces financial hardship in a rented single room with his mother, a casual laborer unable to meet all his basic needs, including school fees. In 2016, at the age of 13 and in class eight, Bravin encountered a turning point when a foundation provided essential support to unlock his potential. This assistance proved invaluable as Bravin excelled in his KCPE examinations at Brine Primary School, securing an impressive 335 marks. Despite financial challenges, he pressed on to Bugoma High School from 2017 to 2020, earning a commendable C+. Undeterred by his circumstances, Bravin Wangolo embarked on a new chapter in 2021, joining Jomo Kenyatta University to pursue a B.Sc. in Entrepreneurship at the School of Business and Entrepreneurship. His determination and resilience in the face of adversity showcase not only personal triumph but also the transformative power of
support in overcoming barriers to education. Bravin’s s ongoing journey at the university reflects the positive impact of a helping hand, offering a clear testament to the possibilities unlocked when individuals are allowed to fulfill their potential through education.

Brian, a 17-year-old from a single-parent household, faced significant obstacles despite early academic success. Sponsored to attend Kenvic Primary School, Brian’s hard work resulted in an outstanding score of 380 marks. However, the transition to Gatogoro High School proved challenging, leading him to drop out. Facing financial constraints and despair, Brian found himself on the streets of Thika Town. A compassionate well-wisher shared his story with the FatherCK Foundation, triggering a swift
response. The foundation secured full sponsorship for Brian at Rhem School in Kiserian, Kajiado County, offering him a transformative opportunity.
However, due to a three-year age gap from other Form One students, Rhem School declined the support. Now, Brian seeks assistance from a well-wisher to pursue a course under TVET since his age prevents him from joining Form One, as initially planned by the Foundation. Your support can help Brian overcome this setback and continue his journey towards a brighter future.

Celline, born in 2008 in Rumuruti, Laikipia County, is the third of six siblings. Her childhood took a challenging turn when well-wishers rescued her from the threat of forced child marriage and female genital mutilation, actions her parents intended for her despite her fervent desire for education. Fearing the repercussions if she returned home, such as another forced marriage, family members sending her away, or being deprived of education, Celline found sanctuary at the SMI Girls Rescue Centre in Suguta Marmar, Samburu County. Currently attending Shalom Academy in Nyeri, Celline is determined to shape her own destiny. With dreams of becoming a pilot, Celline aspires to bring positive transformation to her society. Her story reflects resilience, determination, and the profound impact education can have in breaking the chains of harmful traditions. Celline’ s journey is a testament to the hope that arises when individuals are given the opportunity to pursue their aspirations
