This novena will run from 20th January to 5th February, Come let us thank the Lord.

Open every day with the below four bible verses provided, then prayer one up to four, you can do a personal prayer for the breakthrough and finally you pray the Our Father prayer 3 times. Once that is done, you can go to the prayers and bible verses of the day as provided in this text.

The closure mass will be on Saturday 5th Feb 2022 at 8.00 PM EAT. Should the timings change, you will be informed.

Please Note; “Fridays 21st, 28th and 4th Feb will be fasting days, though one may have more days depending on their situation.”
As we pray there are some expectations; Here are six things to expect as you develop a conversation with God:
  1. You will recognize that you are not God.

Every time you pray, you are saying, “In my own strength, I cannot do all that I want to do. I need something more, someone else.”

2. You will realize the world doesn’t begin and end with you.

When babies cry, someone usually comes and meets their needs, but this kind of attention does not last forever. Growing up is a painful process of slowly coming to terms with the reality that the world doesn’t revolve around you. Whether you are praying for yourself or others, you’re acknowledging someone else is the center of the universe.

3. You will gain strength from outside of yourself.

Prayer is a way of inviting a higher power to enter into your life’s struggles. Prayer can be a source of strength, wisdom and inner peace.

  1. You will surrender control to somebody else.

Everyone is a control freak to one degree or another. Prayer allows you to admit to God that you need Him in the driver’s seat of your life.

  1. You will communicate your real feelings.

Do you feel ready to give God control of your life? Talk to God honestly about how that question makes you feel. He knows everything about you. He’s eager to listen 24/7. Prayer is a safe way to process your thoughts and feelings.

  1. You will trust that God is with you.

Unless you’re happy to admit that you talk to floors or ceilings, when you pray, you’re believing that someone or something is listening — and might even do something about the things you’re talking about

(The following prayers will be prayed daily for 15 days.

Father God, I come before You in the name of Your Son, Jesus Christ praising You with all my heart, mind and strength for the victory you have given me through Jesus Christ, my personal Lord and Savior.

The Bible says that Jesus Christ has redeemed me from the curse of the law, therefore sickness, disease, pain, suffering, poverty and death has no power over me. I am now free from the law of sin and death. The spirit of Christ Jesus dwells in me. My body is a temple for the Holy Spirit, redeemed, cleansed, and sanctified by the blood of Jesus. I am a child of the living God. I claim my victory in the name of Jesus over all the works of the devil.

Satan, you are a defeated foe. I resist you in the name of Jesus Christ. I overcome you by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of my testimony. I am anointed by the power of the Holy Spirit to serve my King and Master, Christ Jesus.

Heavenly Father, I give You all the glory, honor, praise and worship. The Bible says You are Jehovah-Nissi which means The Lord Is My Victorious Banner.

I thank You Father for the victory I have in the wonderful name of Your beloved Son, Jesus Christ, Amen.

Father, we thank you for making us see a new year, there were many that desired to see this new year but they were unable to. It is not that we are better than them or that we are more righteous than them, it’s just because of your mercy.

Thank you, Lord for your many mercies because they encompass us like a shield and protect us from the fiery darts of the wicked. We thank you for the many battles seen and unseen that you fought on our behalf last year. Thank you for not allowing the enemy to have the last laugh over our lives and that of our loved ones. We bless you

because you are holy, and righteous, and faithful, and your eyes are ever upon us. Blessed be your holy name in the name of Jesus.

Dear Lord, I pray that in this new year, you will cause me to be in the center of your will for my life. Please do not let me stray from your presence, but rather, help me to keep my eyes focused on you. Let every step I take and every decision I make be in line with your will for my life. I pray I will be in the center of your will maritally, spiritually, in my career or business, and in everything I lay my hands on.

I pray for spiritual growth in this new year, that my spiritual life will not be stagnant, and that I will be a good ambassador of Christ. Lord, please show me the steps I need to take to grow spiritually, open my eyes to see those things that I need to let go of. And give me the grace to embrace what must be done for me to grow up unto you in all things.

As I take steps to pursue faith and holiness with a good conscience, oh Lord please back me up in Jesus’ name.

Psalm 12:8
The wicked strut about on every side
When vileness is exalted among the sons of men.
Proverbs 28:15
Like a roaring lion and a rushing bear
Is a wicked ruler over a poor people.
Revelation 17:12
The ten horns which you saw are ten kings who have not yet received a kingdom, but they receive authority as kings with the beast for one hour.
Romans 13:1
Every person is to be in subjection to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those which exist are established by God.
Daniel 6:4-15
Then the commissioners and satraps began trying to find a ground of accusation against Daniel in regard to government affairs; but they could find no ground of accusation or evidence of corruption, inasmuch as he was faithful, and no negligence or corruption was to be found in him. Then these men said, “We will not find any ground of accusation against this Daniel unless we find it against him with regard to the law of his God.”

Dear Lord, thank You that we have government representatives who believe Your truth. Remind them to seek Your guidance as they make decisions that affect our country and world. Send them godly wisdom and good counselors. And give electioncandidates the strength to choose integrity in both their campaigns and their terms in office.

Father God, we are grateful that You love each of us no matter our status or abilities. Thank You that You walk with children and families struggling against poverty and injustice, calling us to do the same. We ask that candidates running for election would speak out about poverty and listen to the voices of the vulnerable. Give our leaders wisdom to create solutions that empower people living in poverty to survive and thrive. Help us to answer Your call to act justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with You.
God purposely created us with differences and designed us to work together. “Just as a body, though one, has many parts, but all its many parts form one body, so it is with Christ” (1 Corinthians 12:12).
We are one nation, but made up of many different parts — so it’s easy to become divided. We hear “us vs. them” rhetoric on TV and in the news. And sometimes we’re guilty of buying into it. But we pray against the idea that we cannot work together. We pray that, with God’s grace, we would work as a nation toward unity.
Jesus, thank You for humbling Yourself to walk alongside us as a man. Help our leaders be willing to walk alongside each other, their constituents, and especially the marginalized. Our leaders have different opinions and priorities; give them the wisdom to navigate differences and work together to strengthen our country. Remind us in this election year that You have called Christians to be one body.

Making an offering in advance of the blessing ahead.
At the end of this novena you will be expected in faith to give an offering of thanksgiving in advance for the blessings that God will give us in 2022 and beyond. In Mark 11:24, we read;
“When you pray and ask for something, believe that you have received it, and you will be given whatever you ask for.”
Faith is not just believing God can do something. Faith is not just hoping he will do something. Faith is thanking God in advance.
Jesus said, “When you pray and ask for something, believe that you have received it, and you will be given whatever you ask for” (Mark 11:24 GNT).
You say, “Wait a minute! I’ve got to thank God in advance before I get it in order to get it?” Yes. If you thank God after you’ve got it, that’s gratitude. When you thank him in advance, that’s faith.
Gratitude is good and right. But your goal should be to become a person of deeper faith. To do that, you have to thank God in advance. The offering you will give is not about how much you have, but how deep you believe.
My dear friend, let me ask you a question; if I handed you a check right now for a thousand dollars, would you wait until you cashed it to thank me? No! You’d thank me right now. But the money wouldn’t be yours until you actually cashed it, because that check is really a promise. When I gave you that check, you’d say, “Thank you, Fr CK” You’d believe that I was credible and that I had enough money in the bank to cover that check for a thousand dollars.
In the same way, faith is thanking God in advance. It’s believing that what God has promised, he will provide. It’s saying you love God for who he is and not just what he can do for you. It’s showing you trust him to do what he’s said he will do.
One day two blind men followed Jesus to the home where he was staying. They shouted at him to have mercy on them, and Jesus asked them if they had faith that he could heal them. They answered that they believed, and Jesus said, “Because of your faith, it will happen” (Matthew 9:29 NLT).
What I’m saying is this: If God tells you, my son, my daughter, make an offering in advance for what I will give you, just do it!! Believe me, IT WILL HAPPEN!
